Elusive Mr.Sun

It's a day that started on a bright note. But Mr.Sun,very soon, started playing an elusive game of brightening up everything one moment and then deciding to play blink-wink-disappear the very next moment. The day that started on a cheerful note seemed to be showing its various shades within moments. The light seemed to be saying ' catch me if you can' ! But I was enjoying every bit of it, and why not! Just a few more days of independence, the random tea sessions, irrespective, of the time of the day, the no- exercise sessions, going about the city without having to think of the next 'working' day; such fun times! The very thought of unstructured hours of work makes me feel so relaxed. Yet, work gets done and things fit in so effortlessly. And to top it all, the perfect light-and-shade day! All smiles :).......
Now, Mr.Sun did play his games. The light streamed in through the partially clouded sky, as if it was creeping in through the bamboo chiks. The slight grey of it blended with the bright yellow and a perfect shade was created. The blinding yellow that scorched life, made us squint, hide our gaze behind the shades, could actually acquire such a lovely mellowness....seeing and experiencing it made a person like me put it into a few words. Mr.Sun did know how to colour the world according to his whims and fancies and bring out the best in everything. Even our moods lightened up and brightened up according to his wishes! I wish I could capture his mood changes well enough.
Light has its own importance in life. What is it that does not depend upon it? Light can make things liven up,bringing upon a total mood change in us. But yes, the right kind of light, the perfect sort of yellow. Wonder if it makes sense to you.....it does to me, though. Too much of it can be killing at times, like the tender jasmine creeper that was thoroughly scorched up last week. The flowering plant was reduced to its crisply fried up state, thanks to, too much sun. The right shade of yellow creates wonders. The mellowness creates the right mood, the perfect ambience and environment that allows things to soak up in its golden hue. The honey yellow dripping from Mr.Sun is lovely indeed! At such times he makes me want to lie by the window, in a corner of my most formally informal living room. And with a good book or a magazine with some pretty glossy pictures to drool over, some mint water and melon! Perfect combination, I must say! Signing off for now with a few captures from around my home. Leaving you to daydream and create some magical moments in the company of Mr.Sun:-)......

Lovely!Love my kitchen,my chai and some play of light!

The plants love the right kind of light and so do I!

A day trip to Galibore Fishing Camp

100 km from Bangalore seemed perfect for a quick day trip during those Dussehra holidays. With absolutely no planning and preparation in advance, we set off for this adventure and nature camp very close to the city. The idea was to spend some time amidst nature and soak in its unadulterated beauty. Mountains, jungles and among these the River Cauvery flowing in its fullness. The river was at its maximum volume, the greenish water whirling and swirling in tiny whirlpools and rapids. The thick jungles fringed both sides of the river. Rocks of all shapes and sizes showed themselves up from the middle of the deluge of water. And in the middle of all this, sailed our round little coracle, the round plate like boat. The river flowed and with it took us along, our expert boatman maneuvering his way through the feisty waters. Little sun birds in their bright blue jackets, flying low over the  water made a pretty sight. Wish we could capture all this prettiness but they were too quick for our shutters. As our coracle sluggishly made its way through the waters,we drank in, all that passed along, the thick forests along the banks, the mountains dotted with green of all shades, the solitary trees with their roots totally exposed along the sandy banks. It was picture perfect, much like the scenery I would draw as a child. The meandering river surrounded by the mountains and the sun shining on the water making it gleam and sparkle was indeed a sight worth enjoying. And while we were lapping up this beautiful sight, came the crocodile! No, not the ones we are used to seeing within the confines of the cages in a zoo, but along the river bank.It showed itself up and plunged into the water! Scary, it was! The lone snake bird sitting on a rock in the middle of the river made an interesting sight.
The resort was nestled in the middle of the forests. The tents overlooking the deep waters of the river, were all in pale green, blending with the flora and fauna. The hammocks scattered all across the property looked inviting. How beautiful and peaceful the nights would be! The water seemed to sing a lullaby and plonking myself in one of those hammocks, I drifted into slumber, although a short one. With not much to do, this was a perfect time to laze around and enjoy virgin nature. The meal was of local flavour, fresh and spiced up just right. Lunch by the riverside was like one of those advertisements I had seen on television. Every thing seemed so beautiful. My day turned out to be one of the most enjoyable ones. There is nothing more desirable than a trip to the mountains and jungles and having been able to plan one such, in a short span of time, was indeed an achievement. The photographs have come out beautiful and will add to our memories. I hope,as readers, each one of enjoy the visuals and your imagination is  able to take you to this idyllic place.

A new beginning

This is, indeed, new beginning for me. For long I have been wanting to set foot into the wonderful land of blogs. But several constraints, the first one being my own hesitation, kept me back from making this foray.Any way, better late than never! So here I am today, trying to pen down my very first introductory post.Through my journey here, I hope to share, all ,that I am fond of and make some good memories.
Seasons in the sun, as you all must be aware of, are the lyrics of a lovely song, often hummed, but cannot say has a lot of positive feel about it. There is no comparison between the song and my title. It is just that the name struck a chord with me and hence,I made it my own. Here,I shall be giving free expressions to all that appeal to my senses, make me happy and hum a very happy tune. I hope to celebrate all things beautiful through my blog.
